Nicolas Gutierrez, Jr., Esq.
Nick
is a Partner in the law firm of Borgognoni,
Gutierrez & Arza, LLP., in Miami. He focuses on
corporate and international law, governmental
relations, confiscated property claims (including
existing property claims against the Castro
government)., international trade, financing and
asset control regulatory matters.
A Cuban-American, Nick
is bi-lingual and active in Cuban, civic and
community affairs. He is a former Chairman, and
current member, of the Governing Board of the South
Florida Water Management District (appointed by
Governor Jeb Bush); Secretary and Director of the
National Association of Sugar Mill Owners of Cuba;
General Counsel of the Cuban Association for Tobacco
Industry; Vice President of the Association of Banks
of Cuba and co-founder and President of Puente
de Jovenes Profesionales Cubanos
which promoted
building bridges between young Cuban American
professionals in the US and their counterparts in
Cuba.
A regular participant
on local and national radio and television, he also
has written on various legal and political topics.
Nick graduated for the University of Miami and the
Georgetown University Law Center.
